Job Description:
For our client PROVEDORE FINE FOODS LTD, we are seeking a Manager to oversee a Cheese, Charcuterie, and Café shop and deliver exceptional service to customers.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all daily operations of the store
- Ensure the proper setup and presentation of products (cheeses, cold cuts, coffees, and other items)
- Manage inventory and ensure product restocking
- Enhance the store arrangement to improve customer satisfaction
- Welcome and advise customers on available products
- Ensure customer retention by providing excellent service and personalized attention
- Supervise and train the sales staff on products and sales techniques
- Organize work schedules and distribute responsibilities among team members
- Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote the store’s products
- Coordinate events and activities (tastings and workshops)
- Oversee social media and communication related to the store’s activity
- Monitor sales and analyze the store’s performance
- Handle the cash register, make bank deposits, and oversee daily financial operations
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce or other relevant sector
- An thorough understanding of French culinary arts (charcuterie, cheese, and fine grocery) is mandatory
- Strong communication skills in French are required to liaise with French suppliers
- Having an excellent knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards is essential
