Job Description

The Executive Sous Chef will play a key role in delivering high-quality food for large-scale catering events and daily production. This role requires strong organisation, efficiency, and the ability to lead a team through intensive prep and service periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen prep for large-scale catering orders and events

• Support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and workflow

• Lead and motivate kitchen staff during high-volume production

• Ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery of all food items

• Manage stock control, ordering, and minimising waste

• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards

• Assist with menu planning and event-specific requirements

• Train and supervise junior team members

Selection Criteria

• Proven experience as an Executive Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-volume catering environment

• Overseas Experience

• Formal Qualifications in the field

• Ability to handle intensive prep shifts and tight deadlines

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Excellent time management and organisational abilities

• High attention to detail and commitment to quality

• Flexibility to work long and varied hours depending on event schedules
