Electrician / Small Tools & Generator Repair Technician
Location: Stella Mare Yard
Employment Type: Full Time
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician / Small Tools & Generator Repair Technician to join our team at the Stella Mare Yard.
This is a varied, hands-on role that offers a mix of electrical work, equipment maintenance, generator servicing,
workshop duties, yard support, and assistance within the storeroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair electrical tools and equipment.
- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot diesel and petrol generators.
- Carry out preventative maintenance on small tools, generators, and workshop equipment.
- Identify faults and complete repairs in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with managing and issuing tools, parts, and consumables from the storeroom.
- Support workshop operations and maintain a safe, organised work environment.
- Assist with yard duties, equipment inspections, and general site upkeep.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Adhere to all company safety, quality, and productivity requirements.
Skills & Experience
- Trade qualification as an Electrician or relevant electrical experience preferred.
- Experience repairing power tools, generators, pumps, welders, and other small equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills are highly desirable.
- Experience working on diesel and petrol engines would be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A current driver’s licence is recommended.

About the Role
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping equipment operational.
You will spend time in the workshop repairing and maintaining tools and generators, assisting in the storeroom with inventory and parts management and supporting activities around the yard as required.
