Machine Technician and Print Production Systems Supervisor

Job Description

The Machine Technician and Print Production Systems Supervisor shall be responsible for duties, including, but not limited to, the following:

-Maintaining, repairing, servicing, and troubleshooting all company machines and equipment,

including laser cutters, engravers, large-format printers, plotters, sublimation printers, DTG printers, heat press, and finishing equipment.

-Diagnosing faults and implementing preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and

downtime.

-Planning and carrying out scheduled maintenance.

-Sourcing and advising on parts, consumables, upgrades, and technical solutions.

-Supporting machine setup, calibration, testing, and operation.

-Supporting print production management and workflow planning for efficient machine utilisation.

-Preparing maintenance records, reports, and technical recommendations for management.

-Ensuring machines are operated safely and in accordance with company procedures.

-Performing any other reasonable duties related to the role and the company's business operations.

Organisation Description

Design Impax is a signage and creative design company located in Port Vila, Vanuatu. We provide large-format printing, branding, vehicle wraps, promotional items, and custom signs for businesses, events, and organisations.

Selection Criteria

Experience operating and maintaining print-production machines.

Able to troubleshoot faults and perform basic servicing.

Knowledge of printers, plotters, laminators, cutters, RIP software, and Adobe Illustrator.

Experience supervising production staff and workflow.

Strong quality-control and time-management skills.

Able to read job specifications and work accurately.

Good communication, leadership, and safety awareness.
