Position: Artisans Specializing in Indonesian Craft
Location: Ratua Private Island Resort, Santo, Vanuatu

Ratua Private Island Resort invites applications for the position of Artisans specializing in traditional Indonesian craft to support the resort’s cultural design, restoration, and handcrafted décor projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and restore traditional Indonesian handcrafted items used within the resort, including wood carvings, bamboo structures, furniture, and decorative elements.
  • Produce authentic Indonesian craft pieces for villas, public areas, and guest experiences.
  • Maintain traditional craftsmanship techniques in accordance with Indonesian cultural standards.
  • Assist in the restoration and maintenance of antique Indonesian architectural elements and furnishings.
  • Train and share traditional craft techniques with local staff where required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience and skills in traditional Indonesian craftsmanship such as wood carving, bamboo work, furniture making, or traditional decorative arts.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian traditional building materials and craft methods.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in Indonesian craft or artisan work.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small resort team.
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail.

Employment Details:

  • Full-time position based at Ratua Private Island Resort.
  • Accommodation and meals may be provided on the island.
