CALL FOR APPLICATIONS
Board of Governance Committee Member

Live & Learn Vanuatu is inviting expressions of interest from committed and visionary individuals to serve as members of its Board of Directors.

As one of Vanuatu’s leading non-government organisations, Live & Learn works alongside communities, government, civil society, and development partners to build resilient, inclusive, and sustainable livelihoods through environmental conservation, climate resilience, education, governance, and community development.

The Board provides strategic leadership, governance, oversight, and accountability to ensure the organisation remains effective, transparent, and responsive to the needs of the people of Vanuatu.

We are seeking individuals who:

1. Demonstrate integrity, sound judgement, and a commitment to ethical leadership.
2. Are passionate about community development and environmental sustainability.
3. Have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Finance, Accounting or Audit
• Law or Governance
• Environmental Management
• Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction
• Agriculture or Food Security
• Education
• Public Health
• Human Resource Management
• Business or Entrepreneurship
• Project Management
• Information Technology or Digital Innovation
• Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
• Community Development
• Strategic Planning
• Fundraising or Resource Mobilisation

4. Are able to think strategically and contribute to long-term organisational growth.
5. Can commit to attending regular Board meetings (Once every quarter) and participating in Board committees where required.

Eligibility

Applicants should:

• Be of good character and reputation.
• Be willing to act in the best interests of Live & Learn Vanuatu.
• Have no conflict of interest that would compromise their duties as a Board member.
• Be available to serve for the minimum term of 3 years.
