Ramada by Wyndham Port Vila (RBWPV) is seeking suitable candidates to appoint for the following position.

Plumber

The main purpose of this position is to install, maintain, inspect, and repair plumbing systems and fixtures throughout the resort to ensure all facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained for guests and staff.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Plumber is responsible for carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance on water supply systems, drainage systems, sanitary fixtures, and plumbing equipment. The successful candidate will ensure all plumbing work is completed efficiently while maintaining the resort’s high standards of safety and service.

To be successful as a Plumber, you should demonstrate strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

Plumber Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair water supply, drainage, and sewerage systems.
• Inspect plumbing systems and identify faults or leaks.
• Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, pipes, valves, pumps, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Carry out preventative maintenance to minimize equipment failures.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency plumbing issues.
• Ensure all plumbing work complies with safety regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work completed.
• Assist with general maintenance duties when required.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Report major repairs and required materials to the Maintenance Manager.

Abilities/Skills:

• Sound knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and repair plumbing faults efficiently.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
