Senior Rebar Supervisors

Job Description

A Senior Rebar Supervisor leads steel fixing operations on construction sites, ensuring all reinforced steel structures match structural engineering specifications and safety standards. Acting as the technical authority for rebar installation, this role bridges engineering blueprints and field execution while minimizing material waste and overseeing quality control.

Core Responsibilities

Drawing Interpretation & Spec Verification: Read structural drawings to strictly verify steel bar grades, sizing, spacing, lap lengths, and anchorage lengths before and during installation.

Fabrication & Installation Leadership: Direct the cutting, bending, and binding of rebar for foundations, beams, columns, and slabs, ensuring correct installation of chair bars and concrete cover blocks to maintain clearance.

Pour-Phase Quality Control: Oversee rebar placement during concrete pouring to prevent steel displacement or deformation caused by foot traffic and heavy equipment.

Inventory & Scrap Optimization: Manage raw and finished rebar storage with clear identification markings while optimizing cutting lists to reduce steel scrap and lower overall material costs.

Concealed Work Acceptance & Inspections: Execute self-inspections after binding and coordinate directly with foremen, quality inspectors, and project supervisors to sign off on concealed work prior to concrete placement.

Site Safety & Housekeeping: Enforce immediate cleaning of working surfaces and oversee the timely, classified recycling of steel scrap to maintain a safe working environment.

Selection Criteria

Senior On-Site Leadership & Supervisory Experience

Demonstrated experience leading on-site rebar and civil construction teams across complex, large-scale developments. Proven ability to supervise field operations, manage crews, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.

Structural Integrity & Rebar Fabrication Expertise

Deep technical knowledge of reinforcement steel placement, structural rectification, frame reinforcement, and load-bearing system modifications across varied structural types.

Renovation, Retrofitting & Structural Rectification

Proven track record in structural reinforcement, retrofitting, and structural rectification for existing and aging infrastructure. Hands-on expertise in navigating the unique technical challenges associated with structural upgrades and renovations.

Civil & Structural Construction Project Management

Extensive background in managing reinforcement operations for large-scale residential, community, and public infrastructure developments from foundational stages through to structural completion.

Quality Control, Safety & On-Site Execution

Strong capability in overseeing quality assurance, rebar inspection, bar bending schedule compliance, and strict adherence to structural engineering standards and site safety protocols.
