Are you an experienced and qualified engine watch professional with a strong understanding of engine operations and maintenance? Ratua Private Island Resort is seeking a reliable and technically skilled Engine Watch Technician to join our team and support the safe and efficient operation of our engine and mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and operate engines and related mechanical equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct regular checks and monitoring of engine systems and equipment
- Identify and report mechanical issues or equipment faults
- Assist with routine maintenance and servicing of engines and mechanical equipment
- Maintain accurate records of engine operations, inspections, and maintenance activities
- Ensure engines and equipment are operated in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer requirements
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times
- Respond promptly to operational issues and emergencies when required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised engine and work area
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance and resort operations teams
Qualifications:
- Must hold a current and valid Engine Watch Rating Certificate (STCW Regulation III/4)
- Relevant training or qualifications in marine engineering, engine operations, or a related field
- Good understanding of engine operation and mechanical systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Professional and reliable attitude
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
- Willingness and ability to live and work in a remote island environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working with marine engines, generators, machinery, or mechanical systems is preferred
- Experience in a resort, marine, vessel, or remote-island environment will be an advantage
