ProMedical Vanuatu is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Manager to join our senior leadership team and help shape the future of emergency care in the Pacific.
This is a unique opportunity to combine frontline ambulance leadership with healthcare capacity building, clinical governance, workforce development and health systems strengthening in a rapidly developing emergency medical service in the Pacific.
Based in Port Vila, the Clinical Manager provides strategic and operational leadership across ambulance services, aeromedical retrieval operations, clinical governance, education and capacity building programmes. The role works closely with clinical and operational teams to strengthen emergency care delivery, clinical governance and workforce development across Vanuatu.
About the Role
The Clinical Manager leads a team of approximately 18 clinical staff across stations in Port Vila and Luganville, and is responsible for ensuring safe, effective and sustainable emergency medical service delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
Leadership of emergency ambulance and aeromedical retrieval operations and service delivery.
Clinical governance, auditing and quality improvement.
Workforce development and staff mentorship.
Delivery and oversight of clinical education programmes.
Development of local emergency care and paramedicine pathways.
Oversight of community outreach and health system capacity building programmes.
Strategic planning and organisational development.
About You
You will be a highly capable clinician and leader who is passionate about emergency care, education and healthcare development.
You will ideally possess:
Registration as a Paramedic (though emergency nurses and doctors may be considered with adequate prehospital/ambulance experience).
Significant experience in ambulance, emergency, critical care or retrieval settings.
Previous leadership or management experience.
