EXPRESSION OF INTEREST
The Government of Vanuatu, through the Department of Agriculture under MALFB, and the IFAD/GAFSP-funded Agriculture Investment for Markets and Nutrition (AIM-N) project, is seeking a qualified individual consultant to undertake the post collection data processing, statistical analysis, and reporting based on the baseline survey that has been collected in the AIM-N targeted provinces of Malampa, Penama & Tafea. As part of its Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning [MEL] framework, AIM-N conducted the baseline survey to assess the current status of key household characteristics that will inform project activities and establish benchmark values for key project indicators.
Objective:
The individual consultant will provide technical expertise in data cleaning, statistical analysis, and reporting for the AIM-N baseline survey, delivering;
- A reliable, well documented cleaned dataset ready for long-term project use
- Robust statistical analysis aligned with the project’s results framework and indicator targets
- A clear, accurate, and professionally presented report for technical and non-technical audiences
- Stakeholder-ready communication outputs translating findings into actionable insights
Scope of Work:
The consultant will focus on post-data collection activities across four task areas;
- Data Cleaning and Validation – reviewing raw datasets, resolving errors/outliers/duplicates, and producing a final cleaned dataset.
- Data Analysis – developing/refining the Data Analysis Plan and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis, including disaggregation by gender, age, province, and vulnerability status.
- Baseline Survey Report – preparing a comprehensive Technical Baseline Survey Report aligned with IFAD reporting standards
- Stakeholder Reporting and Communication – a stakeholder presentation, a 2–4-page summary brief, and incorporation of feedback into final outputs.
