About The Role

As the Head of Commercial, you will play a key role in driving business growth by managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial clients through client acquisition, relationship management, cross-selling, and referral opportunities. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of your clients’ businesses, including their performance, future plans, and banking needs, to provide strategic financial
solutions and trusted advice.

Working closely with Product Partners and key stakeholders, you will develop and implement client strategies that deliver value to customers while effectively managing risk and ensuring compliance with ANZ’s credit and risk frameworks. You will actively identify opportunities to grow revenue, deepen customer relationships, and support the achievement of business objectives across the Commercial
portfolio.

This role also requires the implementation of an active calling and engagement program to maintain strong client relationships, build a healthy pipeline of opportunities, and deliver sustainable portfolio growth.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

About You
To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

• Strong knowledge of financial statement and credit assessment skills incorporation (background of sound business lending)
• Fair level of experience in a corporate/SME or business banking environment
• Demonstrated understanding of small and medium business needs and expectations
• Tertiary qualifications in business related field
