CARETAKER – FRESH WATER MARKET AND PREMISES

The National Housing Corporation (NHC) is seeking a motivated and responsible individual to fill the position of Caretaker – Fresh Water Market and Premises. This is a key position supporting the Corporation’s effective property and premises management through the day-to-day maintenance, cleanliness, security, tenant and market-user support, and general operational management of the Fresh Water Market and surrounding premises.

Location: Port Vila, Vanuatu
Reports To: General Manager
Contract: 3 years, renewable
Salary: VT 50,000 – VT 80,000 per month

About the Role

The Caretaker – Fresh Water Market and Premises will support the effective day-to-day management and operation of the Fresh Water Market and surrounding premises by overseeing cleanliness, maintenance, safety, security, and general upkeep of the facilities. The successful candidate will work closely with management, market vendors, tenants, service providers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure the premises are well maintained, safe, clean, orderly, and operating efficiently. The role will also assist with identifying maintenance issues, monitoring the condition of facilities and equipment, reporting incidents and repairs, and supporting the Corporation in maintaining a welcoming and functional environment for market users and the public.
