Job Description:

The Junior Project Manager supports the planning, execution, and delivery of JF Consulting projects. They assist in managing timelines, resources, and client communications to ensure successful project outcomes. The role will include responsibility for project coordination, contract administration and construction supervision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Supervise construction works and maintain accurate site inspection records
  • Ensure compliance with quality expectations and that constructed works are completed in accordance with project documentation
  • Ensure the safety of project sites, including compliance with workplace health and safety requirements of projects
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and other engagements with project consultants, contractors, and clients
  • Be diligent in the tracking and recording of project costs and hours charged to projects
  • Track project costs, variations, and hours, ensuring accurate and timely reporting
  • Support communication with clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, client expectations, and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with consultants and subcontractors to complete project tasks
  • Maintain organized project documentation and apply strict version control practices
  • Contribute to problem-solving and risk management throughout project delivery

Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelor of Construction Management or other appropriate qualifications, or a minimum of 5 years of experience at a managerial level in the construction industry
  • Proven experience in construction supervision, contract administration, or project coordination
  • Proven leadership experience, providing guidance and direction to all staff
  • Excellent knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction environment to ensure the provision of a safe workplace and safe working methods
  • Proven history in the management and administration of construction matters on a project
  • Ability to work in remote or challenging environments across the Pacific region (as required)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
