About The Role

As the Country Head Vanuatu, you will be accountable for the delivery of significant business growth and profitability through the understanding of key business drivers and the needs of the customer base and providing strong change leadership to embed a customer centric and proactive service culture. The role has a wide-ranging responsibility in providing the country leadership in directing ANZ’s business in Vanuatu and in actively supporting Pacific initiatives.

You will also be required to focus on operational excellence to deliver on the key customer value propositions and requisite people development. Critical to success is to build and lead the country management team, ensuring that all people in the business understand the need to change to adapt to deliver on our growth agenda.

The position holds specific accountability for managing key lending customers, including credit quality and growth. The person will also work closely with key stakeholders across the business to ensure continued understanding of the country’s and region’s growth strategies and aspirations.

Role Type: Permanent, Full-time

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:

  • Extensive banking experience including Personal, SME & Corporate Banking, Lending /Credit, International Trade and Markets;
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and transaction banking products and sound knowledge of branch banking, front office and back office processes and procedures;
  • Tertiary qualifications and superior level of leadership, capability and general man gement skills, and change management skills;
  • Strategy development experience, and ability to identify target markets and evaluate business opportunities and demonstrated marketing and business development skills;
  • Proven ability to drive change diplomatically and to deliver results in a multi-cultural environment; and
  • Deep governance and compliance experience.
