Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the finance function through the delivery of accurate financial reporting, compliance activities, month-end processes, budgeting support, reconciliations, and business analysis. The role also provides exposure to project accounting, process improvement initiatives, and supporting the growth of a rapidly evolving manufacturing operation.

As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our finance team during an exciting period of expansion, system enhancement, and continuous improvement.

Selection Criteria

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and general ledger reconciliations.

- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.

- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

- Manage accounts payable processes and support effective cash flow management.

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

- Prepare VAT returns and support statutory compliance requirements.

- Monitor business licence renewals and regulatory filings.

- Support project accounting, cost tracking, and variance analysis.

- Assist with the continuous improvement of finance systems, controls, and processes.

- Work collaboratively with operational teams to support business performance and decision-making.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications:

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- CPA, CA, or progress towards professional accounting qualifications will be highly regarded.

Experience & Skills:

- Demonstrated experience in a senior accounting or finance role.

- Strong financial reporting, reconciliation, and compliance experience.

- Leadership or supervisory capability with the ability to mentor and support others.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience using ERP and accounting software systems.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

- Manufacturing, production, export, or commercial business experience will be highly regarded.

- A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
