Position Summary
Dynamic Vanuatu is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to oversee inventory accuracy, stock movements, stock reporting, and inventory management processes across multiple product lines. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining inventory integrity, supporting operational eƯiciency, and ensuring accurate stock records within the company’s inventory management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure stock integrity across all warehouse and storage locations.
- Monitor and control stock levels to ensure adequate inventory is available while minimizing excess stock.
- Manage inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, adjustments, returns, and stock write-oƯs.
- Perform regular stock reconciliations, cycle counts, and annual stocktakes.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports to identify trends, shortages, overstock situations, and opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure accurate stock management.
- Monitor product expiry dates, batch-controlled inventory, and stock rotation where applicable.
- Develop and maintain inventory control procedures and documentation.
- Assist with forecasting and inventory planning activities.
- Support system improvements and inventory-related projects.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in an Inventory Controller, Inventory Analyst, Warehouse Controller, or similar inventory management role.
- Previous hands-on experience with Cin7 Core (formerly DEAR Systems), or enterprise inventory systems such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Pronto, or similar ERP platforms.
- Microsoft Excel skills, including:
o Pivot Tables
o VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
o Complex formulas
o Data analysis and reporting
o Spreadsheet development and maintenance
- Demonstrated experience managing and controlling multiple stock lines and large product catalogues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience in FMCG, wholesale distribution, retail, manufacturing, or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of barcode systems, batch tracking, and stock traceability processes.
- Experience with inventory forecasting and demand planning.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Inventory accuracy maintained at agreed company targets.
- Timely completion of stock reconciliations and stocktakes.
- Reduction of stock variances and inventory discrepancies.
- Accurate and timely inventory reporting.
