Electrical Manager

Construction Vanuatu Group Ltd is seeking applications for the position of Electrical Manager.

About the Company

Construction Vanuatu Group Ltd is an established and growing construction company delivering residential, commercial and resort projects throughout Vanuatu.
As part of our continued growth, we are expanding our Electrical Division and are seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead the division, oversee project delivery and support its ongoing growth.

About the Role

This is a senior, hands-on management position responsible for the overall operation and growth of the Electrical Division.
The successful applicant will be responsible for estimating, business development, project delivery, workforce management, client coordination, training and development of staff, and the continued growth of the division.
This is not an office-based role. The Electrical Manager will remain actively involved in estimating, supervision, installation and project delivery whilst managing the day-to-day operation of the division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare estimates and quotations for electrical works.
  • Review plans, specifications and prepare material take-offs.
  • Carry out electrical installation, maintenance and service works.
  • Manage electrical projects from quotation through to completion.
  • Plan labor, materials and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinate works with clients, suppliers and other company divisions.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop electrical staff and apprentices.
  • Build and maintain client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for additional work and business growth.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to company standards.
  • Maintain quality control across all electrical projects.
  • Assist with recruitment, training and development of local staff.
  • Ensure accurate project reporting, material planning and job costing.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Recognized electrical trade qualification.
  • Current electrical license or registration recognized in the country of qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years’ post-trade experience within the electrical industry.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating and managing residential and commercial electrical construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing quotations, material take-offs and labor estimates from construction drawings.
  • Proven experience managing multiple electrical projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and supervising electrical teams.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial electrical construction.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor, train and develop tradespeople.
  • Ability to work independently and establish systems within a growing division.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
