Job Vacancy: Sales Manager – Government Projects

Trade & Farm is seeking an experienced, motivated, and results-oriented Sales Manager – Government Projects to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through government projects, managing tender opportunities, leading project delivery, and overseeing a large team to achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and secure government business opportunities and projects.
  • Source, prepare, and submit government tenders, ensuring all requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government ministries, agencies, and key stakeholders throughout Vanuatu.
  • Lead and manage government projects from planning through to successful completion.
  • Develop and implement sales and business development strategies to achieve company targets.
  • Manage, supervise, and motivate a team of 30+ employees, ensuring high performance and productivity.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and training to staff to support their professional development.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Prepare sales reports, project updates, and performance reports for senior management.
  • Ensure all staff comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and customer-focused workplace culture.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of proven experience in sales management, government projects, business development, or a similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing government tenders and procurement processes.
  • Strong network and established relationships with government departments and agencies in Vanuatu are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and consistently deliver results.
  • Experience leading and managing teams of 30 or more employees.
  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and achieve sales and project targets.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to company values.
  • Ni-Vanuatu applicants are preferred.
