RE.ADVERTISEMENT OF VACANCY IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE

The Vanuatu Public Service Commission wishes to inform the public of a re-advertisement of the following Senior Position within the Government on ContractBasis.

Position Title : Secretary General
Department : Teaching Service Commission (TSC)
Job Level : DIR
Grade : 2.1.
Annual Salary : 5 390 000 vT
Location : Port Vila

Purpose of the Position:
Overseeing the Operations and Administration of the Commission. This position will be responsible to Provide directions to the Teaching Service Commission to carry out its functions and achieve its objectives and to advise the Minister responsible and the Director General MOET on Teaching Service Act and Teacher Management Policies and address teachers related issues.

Selection Criteria:
Qualification –

Secretary General – TSC

• Master’s Degree

Expertise Areas
Secretary General – TSC

• Management, Public Administration, or Education Management would be advantage or any other related field.

Experience
Secretary General – TSC

• A minimum of 5 to 10 Years of experience in a senior managerial role either in Public or Private Sector Institution.

Technical Competencies

• Sound knowledge on Teaching Service Act and Teacher
• Management Policies.
• Financial Management as per PFEM Act
• Monitoring and Reporting Skills
