About the Role:

CMA CGM Vanuatu Limited is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team in Port Vila. Reporting to the General Manager Vanuatu, this role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service by acting as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and ensuring a seamless customer experience throughout the shipping journey.

The successful candidate will build strong relationships with customers, collaborate with internal teams, and proactively resolve customer requests while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customer enquiries and provide timely, professional support.
  • Manage customer requests throughout the complete order lifecycle, including space availability, shipment details, documentation, and service updates.
  • Respond to customer enquiries within agreed service levels and maintain high standards of customer responsiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, overseas agents, ports, and terminals to resolve issues effectively.
  • Provide proactive communication regarding shipment updates, delays, disruptions, and other critical events.
  • Support customer reporting requirements and promote relevant CMA CGM services and digital solutions.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to ensure correct procedures are followed for cargo handling, routing, documentation, hazardous cargo, and special requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, administration, logistics, shipping, or related role.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to finding solutions.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using business systems and applications.
  • The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Qualification or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience or knowledge of the shipping, transport, or logistics industry.
  • Knowledge of tariffs, CMA CGM Group services, or shipping systems would be advantageous.
