RE-ADVERTISEMENT OF VACANCY IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE

The Vanuatu Public Service Commission wishes to inform the public of the re- advertisement of the following Senior Position within the Government on Contract Basis;

Position Title : Director
Department : Oceans and Maritime Affairs
Job level : DIR
Grade : 2.1
Annual Salary : VT 5,390,000
Location : Port Vila

Purpose of the Position:

Oversee responsibility for policy, legislation framework, planning, budget, reporting, representation, international compliance, conflict resolution and personnel management of the Department of Maritime and Ocean Affairs and Air Space matters to support the Director General in managing Vanuatu’s external interests on ocean related, airspace matters and national boundary issues.

Selection Criteria:
Qualification – Master’s Degree.

Expertise Area – Marine Science OR International Law OR Law of the Sea OR International Diplomacy and Relations, OR Public Relations OR Management and Public Administration OR related field.

Experience – Must have a minimum of 15-20 years’ experience in the diplomatic service or International Maritime agency.
