VACANCY NOTICE
Junior Accountant
Ferrieux Patterson & Partners, a leading law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and detail- oriented Junior Accountant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping functions.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Prepare and process staff payroll and salary payments.
- Prepare, reconcile, and submit VNPF contributions and related documentation.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax requirements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management accounts.
- Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation.
- Utilize Xero Accounting Software for accounting, reporting, and reconciliations.
- Support the Finance Team with audits and other accounting related duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ accounting experience.
- Proven experience using Xero Accounting Software.
- Sound knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll processing, VAT compliance, and VNPF requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
