REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST (REOI) – PROJECT COORDINATOR
TAFEA Drinking Water Safety and Security Planning Programme – Package 3
Employer: Toafa Plumbing and Construction
Location: TAFEA Province, Vanuatu
Appointment: Fixed-term, inputs-based appointment of up to 261 person-days
1. Background
Toafa Plumbing and Construction is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Project Coordinator.
The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating and managing the implementation of project activities, including community mobilisation, training, logistics, reporting, financial monitoring, safeguards and stakeholder coordination.
2. Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
- A recognised bachelor’s degree in project management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources, Environmental Science, Community Development, Business Management or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience in project coordination, project management, contract management or development project implementation.
- Experience managing teams, work programmes, budgets, logistics and project risks.
- Experience working with government, provincial authorities and communities.
- Strong communication, leadership and report-writing skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Bislama.
- Willingness to travel and work in remote locations within TAFEA Province.
Experience in WASH, water supply, community development, donor-funded projects or rural projects in Vanuatu will be an advantage.
