ASSISTANT FINANCE & ADMINISTRATIVE MANAGER
SPBD Microfinance (Vanuatu) Ltd • Full-time
Job Purpose:
To support the Finance & Administration Manager in managing SPBD’s financial, administrative, and operational functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, effective cash management, compliance, and efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review financial, management, and regulatory reports.
- Conduct regular bank, cash, undeposited account, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support month-end and quarter-end financial closing processes.
- Monitor Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and assist with financial and audit requirements.
- Oversee cash management, banking, branch replenishments, petty cash, and disbursement controls.
- Review financial documents, vouchers, loan agreements, and supporting documentation before approval or disbursement.
- Support budgeting, procurement, property management, and general administration.
- Supervise Finance and Administration staff and ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned duties.
- Ensure proper maintenance, security, confidentiality, and backup of financial records and systems.
- Promote compliance with SPBD policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and fraud prevention measures.
- Provide coaching and support to finance and administration staff and assist management with operational and financial matters.
Key Requirements:
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, with at least 5 years’ relevant experience and previous supervisory experience. Strong accounting, reconciliation, analytical, leadership, Excel, cash management, and internal control skills are required. Experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
