The Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) is seeking an energetic, influential and practical leader to champion Vanuatu’s private sector and lead the Chamber into its next chapter.
This is a role for a doer – someone who builds relationships, turns ideas into action, secures opportunities and delivers real outcomes for business.
The role
Reporting to the VCCI Board, the General Manager will lead the organisation, its team and its engagement with members, Government, development partners and industry leaders.
- Advocate confidently for reforms that improve the business environment.
- Strengthen member engagement and develop services businesses genuinely value.
- Build trusted partnerships and increase VCCI’s national and regional influence.
- Secure new funding, sponsorships and income opportunities.
- Lead a motivated, accountable and high-performing team.
About you
You will combine strategic thinking with practical action and bring:
- Senior leadership experience in business, industry, economic development or a comparable organisation.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience leading teams, organisational change and working with a Board or governing body.
- Commercial and financial acumen, with experience developing partnerships or securing funding.
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience.
Pacific experience and a strong understanding of Vanuatu’s business environment will be highly regarded.
