Heavy Goods Driver

Job Description
In this position, you will be expected to:
* Deliver FMCG products safely and efficiently to customers across designated routes
* Load, secure and unload goods in accordance with company procedures and safety standards
* Verify delivery orders, obtain customer signatures and complete all required delivery documentation accurately
* Follow scheduled delivery routes and maintain punctual delivery timeframes
* Conduct routine vehicle checks and promptly report any maintenance or safety concerns
* Ensure compliance with road safety regulations, company policies and manual handling procedures
* Provide professional and friendly customer service during all customer interactions
* Assist with basic stock handling and ensure products are delivered in good condition
* Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the assigned delivery vehicle
* Support warehouse and logistics operations when required
Organisation Description
Carpenters Trading Vanuatu is a rapidly growing Fast Moving Consumer Goods company that falls under the Carpenters Group umbrella, with our head office based at Carpenter Motors Vanuatu, Nambatri and an office in Santo.
Our products range from imported Premium Beers and Wines, RTDs, soft drinks and water to frozen goods.
Selection Criteria
We are looking for someone with:
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a delivery driving role within the FMCG, retail, distribution or logistics sector
* Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record
* Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and road regulations
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet delivery deadlines
* Physically fit and capable of loading, unloading and handling products safely
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail when completing paperwork and deliveries
* Basic administrative and inventory management skills would be an advantage
* Reliable, punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision
* Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and additional hours when required
